by Ron White
(excerpted from How to Develop the Mind of Einstein 6-CD/Workbook series)
Albert Einstein had a formula for success. Can you believe that? One of the greatest minds of all time developed a math formula for success! I suggest you read this carefully -- this may be the most important math equation that you will ever see.
Einstein said, "If A equals success, then the formula is: A=X+Y+Z.
X is work.
Y is play.
Z is keep your mouth shut."
Einstein no doubt had an excellent sense of humor. Let's look at the 3 variables in this equation. They are:
1. Work
2. Play
3. Keeping your mouth shut!
1. Work: Albert Einstein had a tremendous work ethic and because of that gave more to society and modern science than any person in recent times
2. Play: Einstein, however, did not work 24 hours a day and made time for fun and relaxation. His idea of fun may have been different than yours, but that doesn't mean it still wasn't play.
3. Keeping your mouth shut: Finally, my favorite part of his success formal is to keep your mouth shut. I genuinely believe that the person who talks the least says the most. A friend of mine complains that the woman he is dating talks too much. I don't know how to break the news to him; however, the problem is not that she talks too much. It simply is the fact that he is irritated that he isn't able to talk. Now, let me just say this is not a generic man and woman statement. I am speaking about a specific person that I know. His desire is to constantly talk and because he likes to talk so much, he will talk in circles. If you let him talk long enough he will repeat the same thing three times and then contradict himself. His desire is not to hear but to be heard.
Albert Einstein, on the other hand had nothing to prove. He felt no need to be the "Chatty Cathy" he could have been with his knowledge. It wasn't important to him to talk to everyone he met and talk over their heads to demonstrate his IQ. Instead, he learned the value of quietness and solitude.
Shift your mind set from being a talker to a listener. It has been said that you can make more friends in 5 minutes by becoming interested in others than you can make in 5 years of trying to get others interested in you! How do you become interested in others? You ask questions and then keep your mouth shut!
Dale Carnegie wrote a best selling book entitled 'How to Win Friends and Influence People.' One of the key premises of this book was that everyone's favorite subject is actually themselves and that the sweetest sound to their ears is the sound of their own name. Einstein knew this and realized he could influence others by choosing his spots to speak and validating others by extending them the courtesy of listening.

Simply Solving the Puzzle
by Vic Johnson
When most young children are given a puzzle to solve or put together that is especially challenging, most will make a good effort at solving it, but if unsuccessful will soon lose interest and abandon it. Some will even become angry at their failure to solve it and may throw a tantrum.
Contrast that with the experienced puzzle player who proceeds to put the puzzle together with an air of certain confidence that they will complete it. They know that they have all of the pieces of the puzzle before them so it is only a matter of finding out which pieces work where and once that's done the puzzle will be complete. Putting a piece in the wrong place is not a cause for concern; it's simply another step toward putting all of the pieces in their proper place.
I think of all the times in my life when I acted like a young child in dealing with the current puzzle in my life. Instead of turning over and trying the next piece, I got angry and walked away from the puzzle, seeing the puzzle as a problem instead of as an opportunity.
Napoleon Hill, author of the classic Think and Grow Rich, knew Thomas Edison and Henry Ford personally. He said of both men that the ONLY thing that was different about them from everyone else was their persistence. Which gives rise to an interesting thought. Where would our civilization be today if either man had treated his puzzles like the impatient young child?
If you don't have all of the pieces of your puzzle on the table, then stop, identify them and get them on the table before proceeding. If, however, you've got them on the table, then take the approach of the experienced puzzle player. When they don't fit -- don't quit -- try another piece or move them to another place. While you're at it, learn another valuable lesson from great puzzle players. They don't just enjoy completing the puzzle; they delight in putting it together.
Napoleon Hill thought Persistence was a pretty important key to success -- he used the word 97 times in Think and Grow Rich and he devoted an entire chapter to it. Some of his wisdom includes, "The majority of people are ready to throw their aims and purposes overboard, and give up at the first sign of opposition or misfortune. A few carry on DESPITE all opposition, until they attain their goal. These few are the Fords, Carnegies, Rockefellers, and Edisons. There may be no heroic connotation to the word "persistence," but the quality is to the character of man what carbon is to steel."
And that's worth thinking about.

The Power of Feeling Good
by song chengxiang
Today I am going to share a powerful lesson that you can
use to immediately achieve any success you want in your
life. And I promise you that if you do what I suggest you
do, your success is guaranteed.
You will have everything you want in your life and enjoy
the total fulfillment that you deserve. Remember this…
there is no limit to what you can have, be and do. Every
thing you can imagine, you can achieve. And you are going
to find out how to do it now...
Feeling excited? Let’s play a “what if” game. What if you
could ask 100 of the most successful people in the world
whether there was a single magic secret to success? What if
they told you there was? What if they all gave you the same
answer? Are you willing to do what they suggest you do?
Well I don't know what they will tell you, but I do know,
from years of studying the most successful people, that
there is one single most important factor that contributes
to more of their success than any other factors combined,
and anyone can use it to achieve his success no matter who
he is, or what his current conditions are.
You must be eager to know what this secret is. Let me tell
you now.
Listen Up!
The single most important factor for successful people is
simply feeling good.
If success is really that simple, then why are so many
people struggling?
That is a good question. We have been taught that in order
to achieve something, we have to suffer first. It has been
said, no pain no gain. But I tell you this ...That is
ABSOLUTELY false.
Look at the life of a highly successful person. Is he
suffering, is he struggling? If he is, then I can assure
you that he is not successful in the area that he is
struggling against. He may look successful in a certain
area, but very unsuccessful in others. Have you ever seen a
multimillionaire who is suffering from bad health? Why does
that happen? He has all the money he needs to hire the best
doctors in the world, why is he still suffering from ill
health?
Here is what‘s really happening…
He is highly successful financially, because he feels
really good about himself in the financial area; he is
unsuccessful physically, because he feels bad about his
health.
The point I want to make is this. If you notice someone who
is extremely successful in one area, then you will be
certain to notice he feels great about himself in that
area. He has been conditioned to feel good in that area,
just like most people have been conditioned to struggle in
some areas of life.
If you are still not convinced, perhaps you can think of it
this way. How do you define success? It is certainly not
just about setting a goal and achieving it. That is
important, but it’s only part of the story. Success in my
definition and in most successful people's definition is
about enjoying a state of well-being in every moment of our
existence. It all comes down to a state of feeling good.
You may not agree with me, you may consider success as
having a million dollars in your bank account; you may
consider success as being famous as a public figure. Then
let me ask you a question: “why do you want a million
dollars?”, or “why do you want to be a famous person?” If
you think hard about this question, you will find that all
you want is simply to feel good.
Here is the big mistake that most people make. They think
they are going to be happy once they get that million
dollars, they think they will be happy once they become a
superstar. But when they reach that goal, they feel a
moment of excitement, and finally they realize that that is
all there is. And then they set a higher goal, and wish
they will be happy once they reach that goal. They will
never be happy as long as they don’t change their approach.
Then what is the right approach?
Since your ultimate goal is to feel good, then why not
choose to feel good right now? How do you do that? It is
simply by choosing to feel good at this moment. It is as
simple as that. People have spent great amounts of money
searching for techniques and strategies to make them
successful, but they forget that the most powerful tool is
the most fundamental; it is simply feeling good.
You may say "it is easier said than done, how can I feel
good if I am broke?" If that is how you think, here is my
answer to you... There are only two kinds of feeling we
experience every day. One is feeling good, and one is
feeling bad.
Good feelings send a powerful signal to the universe, and
through the law of attraction, you will attract people,
circumstances and events to match your state of feeling
good. Bad feelings also send a powerful signal to the
universe to bring back people, circumstances and events to
match your state of feeling bad.
Have you seen that?
Feelings are the causes, conditions are the effects.
You cannot get away from being broke if you are feeling
bad. You only reinforce the cause.
So begin to feel good one way or another, no matter what
conditions you are in.
At the moment you choose to feel good, amazing things will
happen.
If you don't believe me, try it. You have nothing to lose.

The Power of Appreciation
by song chengxiang
There is a powerful force within each one of us that you
can use to overcome any obstacles, no matter how bad the
situation is. Once you know how powerful this force is and
how it works, you will never have to worry about anything
in your life, no fears, no worries, and no anxieties. Life
becomes an easy and fulfilling process. You start to enjoy
your life; you start to enjoy every moment of your
existence.
Are you getting excited about knowing what this power is?
The powerful force that I am making reference to is “The
power of appreciation.”
Yes, it is the power of appreciation. If you want to win,
and win big in life, you have to know the power of
appreciation, and you have to know how it works, and live
by it. This is the secret weapon that you can use to win
the battle of life, no matter how bad your current
circumstances are. Don’t let its simplicity fool you. Just
this one simple idea will completely change your life.
Ok, let me make a clear statement, let it enter your
subconscious mind. “No matter what circumstance you
encounter, no matter what situation you are in, you always
have the choice of finding something to appreciate in it,
and you can immediately change your point of attraction at
that moment!”
Remember, the quality of your life is determined by the
quality of this moment. And you have a choice in every
moment. You can choose to feel depressed and unhappy, or
you can choose to find something to appreciate, and change
your point of attraction immediately.
OK, now you ask “How can I find something to appreciate?”
Let’s do a simple exercise…
Stop whatever you are doing now, find something right here
that you can appreciate. Go ahead, find something.
Have you got it? If you haven’t, let me remind you of
something. No matter who you are, and where you are, I can
assure you that you at least have one thing to appreciate,
just because you are reading this. Have you got it? Yes!
You got it… It is the internet! How wonderful it is that we
can have access to the internet and find literally any
information we want in minutes. Now, stop for a moment, and
really feel it. What does that make you feel? Think about
how fortunate you are, compared to those people living in
third world countries where they don’t even have a
computer. Hold on to the good feeling for a few seconds,
really feel it. If you can keep it for 17 seconds, your
life will dramatically change. I guarantee you.
This is just an example to demonstrate how you can find
something to appreciate anytime and anywhere. It is
actually very simple, it only takes a few seconds here and
a few seconds there, and your life will never be the same.
You will find yourself full of energy and happiness.
Appreciate the food that you eat, appreciate the air that
you breathe, appreciate the sunshine, appreciate the
relationship that you are in, appreciate the room that you
are sitting in. Appreciate everything.
Well, you may say “The food that I eat is not as good as
what the rich eat”,“the air that I breathe is not as good
as the air in another city”, “the relationship that I am in
is not as fulfilling as it should be”, “the room that I
live in is not as big as I want”. Maybe all these are true,
but it is true only because you have chosen to perceive it
this way. And the important thing is you can perceive it in
a different way right at this moment. Ok, think about the
food you are eating. DO you know there are millions of
children in Africa who do not have enough to eat? Think
about the relationship that you are in. Don’t you remember
that last time your partner gave you a hug when you were
facing a major challenge? Don’t you remember all the
wonderful things that your partner has done for you over
the years? Instead of focusing on what he/she did wrong,
why not focus on what he/she did right? More importantly,
appreciate him/her; appreciate what your partner has done
for you.
So you get my point, there are always positive and negative
aspects to any circumstances or any people, you can either
focus on the negativities and blame what is wrong, or you
can choose to appreciate the positive aspect and what is
right. This will make a big difference to the quality of
your life. I have to repeat, don’t let the simplicity of
this idea fool you, practise appreciating here and there,
and you will find miracles in your life.

10 Ways to Kink Your Vibe
by Jeannette Maw
In order to get what you want, it’s essential to have a vibration aligned to that.
Many aren’t aware of their vibration or the role it plays in creating life experiences.
An misaligned vibe keeps people in a rut and prevents dreams, miracles, and other good things from happening.
Here are ten ways you may be sabotaging your vibe:
1. Worrisome thoughts – Anxious, concerned, and fearful thoughts disconnect you from source energy, bringing you closer to the things you don’t want in life.
Habitual negative thinking is the primary culprit for a polluted vibration.
2. Doing what you “have to” – Doing things you don’t want to do, either out of obligation or because you believe you “have to,” creates resistance and other disturbances in your energy.
3. Following the “rules” or doing what you “should” – When we follow someone else’s instruction and ignore our own guidance, we run the risk of kinking our vibration. This is particularly easy to do when it comes to food, exercise, medical advice, social etiquette and other basic activities in life.
4. Playing the martyr – Withholding good things from yourself and refraining from enjoyment of life is another way to cut off your connection to source energy and kink the vibe.
5. Tolerating others – The act of tolerating anything is a drain on your energy, especially when it’s people you’d rather not be around.
6. Isolating yourself from nature – Your connection to source wilts when you sequester yourself from nature. Uninterrupted exposure to concrete, artificial lighting, stale air, etc. doesn’t allow for energetic rejuvenation.
7. Being hard on yourself – Feeling guilty, embarrassed, disappointed or angry with yourself is a sure-fire way to contaminate your vibration. Negative emotions directed inward are toxic to healthy personal energy.
8. Being a news/TV junkie – Exposing yourself to the standard negative news and social gossip takes a strong toll on the vibration. Many popular TV shows also assail energy with regular violence and sarcasm.
9. Harboring resentment – Continual feelings of resentment toward a situation, person or group kinks up the vibe over time. That includes parents, bosses, religious groups, foreign countries, etc.
10. Disorganized physical space – A chaotic environment subtly but relentlessly chisels away at a healthy vibration. Spending time in an atmosphere that doesn’t feel good will deplete your energy over time, affecting your vibration as well.

How to Create Energy From Nothing
by Kacper Postawski
A lot of people feel "tired", and blame it on getting not enough sleep, or other external factors. Basically, the fact that they're tired is always "out of control." What they don't know is that there's a reason for feeling "tired", and that there's a simple method to change "tired" to "energized" in a heartbeat....
Most of us feel tired during one of the four:
1) After waking up in the morning.
2) After intense physical activity, or long hours of work.
3) After sitting in one place for a long period of time.
4) During the evening, or in the late evening hours.
What do all four of those have in common? There's one very common process that happens in our bodies in all four cases. During all of these we all experience very similar"symptoms" of tiredness. These include yawning, rubbing our eyes, feeling sllooowww, and having the urge to just get into bed and sleep.
Why Do We Get These "symptoms?"
Our bodies have a natural temperature rhythm. Our body temperature rises when we are awake, and promotes feelings of alertness. Our body temperature also falls when we're sleeping, and promotes feelings of drowsiness, and a desire to sleep.
The natural DROP of body temperature in our bodies is a CUE for our body to produce feelings of tiredness, drowsiness, and the strong urge to sleep. I call this the "natural sleep response". When we're exercising, or putting excessive physical demand on our body, our body temperature RISES rapidly, however when you END the physical activity, there is a RAPID body temperature DROP until your body temperature regulates sometime after. It's during this DROP that most of us think there's no other way out but to sleep, and we usually jump into bed and do just that.
The feeling of the body temperature drop after long hours of work is usually mistaken by us as a deep need for sleep. In reality, we don't need to sleep, we just need to "cool down". Allow me to give you a personal example:
As a kid I used to work at a FULL SERVE gas station for 8-9 hours in a row. This meant I had to be on my feet running around pumping gas for 8-9 hours with one 10 minute break. It was hell! Even when I had the early morning shift I would come home and feel TOTALLY DRAINED and TIRED, I usually fell asleep and slept till the evening.
However, as I began learning the inner science of our sleep system and the inner sleep clock, I tried a little experiment one day. Instead of going to sleep I came home and played fetch with my dog out in the yard for about 45 minutes instead. To my surprise, after just a few minutes of a little light activity (throwing a plastic chewed up Frisbee across the backyard), the feeling of tiredness faded and I was able to stay awake and alert WAY into the early morning hours.
How did this work?
I simply allowed my body temperature some time to return back to the normal pattern it proceeds. I gave it time to "come down." When it returned back to normal, I didn't feel tired and the intense pressure to sleep faded.
This same body temperature drop happens after you sit in one place for a long time. Listen, you could take a person who is robust, athletic, and naturally energetic, but if you put them in front of a TV for 3 hours, THEY WILL GET TIRED! This is simply because our body temperature drops when we're NOT MOVING.
That's why the biggest antidote to feeling tired is exercise and movement, NOT SLEEP.
During the morning our body temperature is low too, which creates feelings of drowsiness and tiredness, however, most of us chose to mask this feeling by consuming large amounts of caffeine. The other main temperature drops happen in the afternoon, and in the mid-evening.
In the Powerful Sleep system I describe the EXACT methods to gain a full understanding of your body temperature rhythm, so you can create a quick RISE of body temperature in the morning, and delay the body temperature drop in the evening. This allows you to stay awake and ALERT longer, have more energy and MORE TIME (time is a precious commodity!)

That, Not This
By Rebecca Fine
A friend recently sent me an email that contained one simple sentence that jumped right off the screen and hit me in the face.
When I wrote back to thank her, she was surprised because she hadn't thought of it as anything particularly profound — just something she'd been thinking about, had maybe heard somewhere else, "just a thought" she barely remembered writing down.
Here's what she wrote:
"If you think you have to get THIS in order to have THAT, then what you REALLY want is THAT, not THIS."
OK, maybe it is really simple, but the most profound statements usually are.
So read that again and think about it for a moment, please, then let me flesh it out a bit in light of what I hear so often from readers and students of The Science of Getting Rich.
Here's a sample of what new (and not-so-new) SOGR readers frequently express as their "clear mental images" of what they desire to impress on the Formless:
"A million dollars in the bank."
"A new job that pays $100,000 a year or more."
"An advanced degree in _________."
Now, as the saying goes, "There's nothing wrong" with any of those desires. And yet, when I probe a bit further and ask, "WHY do you want that million dollars?" I usually get an answer back that goes something like this:
"So I can buy a new home for my family, pay for my kids' education, and ..."
The same kinds of reasons often turn up for wanting that new job.
And the reason for wanting more education is usually to get a better job to get more money to get ... well, I think you're probably starting to catch on to the theme here, right?
So let's plug any of those into what my friend wrote:
"If you think you have to get a million dollars in order to have a new home, then what you really want is a new home, not a million dollars."
Yup, it's simple. And profound when you go more deeply into it.
You know how you can often save a lot of money on a purchase if you're able to go right to the source — get it wholesale or better instead of paying the marked-up retail price? Well, the same thing applies when you're "placing your order" with the Cosmic Supplier (the Formless, the Supreme Mind, the Universe).
In other words, cut out the middle-man!
Why waste time, energy, and effort clarifying a mental image of something that's not REALLY what you truly desire? Why not go right for the real thing instead?
After all, money itself has no value of its own, and the value we assign it today can change in a heartbeat. Back in 1929 there were plenty of people here in the United States who thought their security lay in the vast amounts of money they controlled.
But on October 29, when the stock market crashed and their money vanished overnight, they were throwing themselves out skyscraper windows.
Who needs THAT kind of "security?"
You may THINK you want money — a LOT of money, even a particular and very large amount of money. And you may very well end up getting it.
But when you focus on money rather than on what you TRULY desire to be, do, or have, what you're really doing is getting caught up in the HOW rather than the WHAT of your true heart's desires.
My friend, you have to let go of the "how." If you don't, you're handcuffing the Universe and telling it, no thanks, don't bring me my heart's desires THAT way. The more tightly you try to hold onto the how, onto figuring out how everything has to happen and how you can make it happen that way, the more you slow down the process of manifestation.
What are your real, innermost, perhaps long-deferred dreams?
If you think you don't know, please realize that you DO. They may be deeply buried, but the dreams are still within you. Those dreams are, as Mr. Wattles puts it, "life seeking expression," just as in the little boy he watched trying to bring music out of a piano. Remember?
Sometimes, people even come up with an amount of money as their "dream," to AVOID having to go within and see what they find there. But as author Neale Donald Walsch has noted in a neat play on words, if you fail to go within, you will go without.
If you've been unconsciously substituting some amount of money for your true desires, then you're trying to take a shortcut that can't lead where you want to go.
Here's the thing: When you get absolutely clear on your true desires, you will know it at a very deep level. You'll FEEL it with an odd mixture of enthusiasm and peaceful calm. It'll just feel right — because it is.
When you feel that way, your "mental image" will be powerfully impressed on the Formless.
And when you go right for the REAL dream instead of all that you THINK you need to have in order to get that real dream, you are throwing open all the doors and windows and secret passageways for your good to come to you. You are getting yourself, your old ideas, and other unnecessary limitations out of the way so that you can receive, recognize, and ACCEPT the fulfillment of your desire as it appears.
Here's a delightful example from Practical GeniusesTM course member JAIN BRAND in Sydney, Australia:
"I have been studying The Science of Getting Rich for a few months now and have had lots of nice little surprises. But I got a big one a few weeks ago which taught me a lot.
"I am a mad keen horse person and one of my dreams was to own a horse for trail riding. I originally thought about just getting a basic, cheap, scrubby little horse but then realised I might as well ask for the whole dream.
"I began to think, instead, of riding a beautiful, tall, well trained horse. I would picture myself on this horse several times a day. I would walk along the trails that I would like to ride the horse. I visited saddleries and looked at gear that I would like to buy for my new horse.
"And then it happened.
"I was offered a beautiful, tall, well trained horse. He is worth a lot more than I could possible pay for him. He has a small injury that would prevent him from competing at top level, but won't in any way affect his trail riding ability and the owners just wanted him to go to a good home.
"Anyway, I waffle on, but the point to this story is that I went into a mild panic when I was offered this magnificient horse. Where could I keep him, how would I look after him, how could I afford to keep him??? Because I had to make a decision about whether I wanted him in just a few hours I nearly said no.
"But then I thought this is what I've asked for, here it is and I have to accept this gift.
"And it all worked out perfectly. I found a really good place to keep him and he's turned out to be very cheap to look after. To think ...
"I nearly missed out on this wonderful horse because I wasn't ready for when it happened.
"Now when good things are offered to me, I accept them immediately and know that the 'hows and whys' will work themselves out.
"Needless to say, every time I ride my beautiful horse I am extremely grateful!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
See how it works? Instead of thinking, well, I need X amount of money to buy a horse, Jain skipped over that and went right for "the whole dream," getting VERY clear on that image: imagining riding the horse, visiting saddleries, walking the trails, and so on.
And notice how neatly all the other bits and pieces necessary to the "big picture" have worked themselves out, too: Where money itself was needed, there was money enough.
Odd as it may seem, by not focusing on money or the other means by which your dream may be fulfilled, money itself may very well show up — and often in amazing ways and bigger amounts than you imagined. The thing to remember is simply that how your dream is delivered is not up to you!
Wallace Wattles writes: "It is not your part to guide or supervise the creative process. All you have to do with that is to retain your vision, stick to your purpose, and maintain your faith and gratitude."
Realize, too, my friend, that whatever it is you desire to be, do, or have, ultimately you are aiming for a feeling. In other words, you believe that achieving this desire will cause you to feel good in one way or another — perhaps happy, powerful, loved, competent, successful, and so on.
So look at what Mr. Wattles tells us about how THAT works:
"Think and speak of all the things you have asked for in terms of actual present ownership. Imagine an environment and a financial condition exactly as you want them, and live all the time in that mental environment and financial condition until they take physical shape.
"... In the mental realm, enter at once into full enjoyment of the things you want."
"... Be as thankful for it all the time as you expect to be when it has taken form."
You see, when we think the good feeling is the result of getting what we want, we've got the process exactly backwards!
Create the feeling first (as Jain did). That's what powers the impression of your clear mental image on the Formless and starts the process of bringing it into physical form.
Now some teachers and writers express this by saying that the key is for YOU to give first — and then the Universe will respond.
But really, when you consider that everything you already have — including your life and the very air you are breathing right this minute — is a gift, then you can see that it's not about you giving first. That's not even possible!
The key is understanding that the process often called manifestation (and that we call the science of getting rich) is an ongoing cycle of giving and receiving, of cause and effect, and that, as Mr. Wattles says, "Substance is friendly to you, and is more anxious to give you what you want than you are to get it."
If you're thinking you have to get this in order to be, do, or have that which you truly desire, it may be time to think again!
